Secret Millionaire will give advice to small business ownersFinancial ServicesPosted on: 05 March 2010![]() Small business owners will have the chance to listen to advice from a star of Channel 4's Secret Millionaire.
Kavita Oberoi, one of the country's most successful female entrepreneurs, will be speaking at the Business Support event in Manchester on March 17th. Mrs Oberoi, who founded a business healthcare consultancy called Oberoi Consulting, will be offering business advice at the event. "Recessions bring opportunities as well as challenges," she said. "Despite the difficulties, innovative and astute entrepreneurs combining passion with careful preparation can achieve great things." Not being given a promotion at her old job inspired Mrs Oberoi to start her business, so she is keen to point out that adversity can provide the environment for the perseverance and problem solving skills an entrepreneur needs. The event is being held at the City of Manchester Stadium and includes a workshop on accessing finance, a panel session and information about equality. Attendees will also have the chance to network with other businesses. The event is being held by the Forum of Private Business, an organisation representing over 25,000 small businesses.
